Journal - IEEE Transactions on Emerging Topics in Computing
Important Dates Submission Deadline: 30 September 2024 Publication: (tentative) First Half of 2025 Authors are invited to submit a manuscript to the special section on Emerging Computing Architectures, Technologies and Applications for Smart Robotics Systems (ECATA4SRS-2024). Relevant topics of interest to this special section include (but are not limited to): Emerging computing-based systems: modelling, navigation, control and environmental perception for smart robotics systems. Computing models and architectures for the implementation of cyber physical systems and digital twin to enable smart robotics and autonomous systems. Safety-critical computing systems. Theoretical and empirical data analytics and real-time decision making with robots-in-the-loop. Architectures and applications for social and cognitive computing in smart robotics systems, i.e., human-robot collaboration, humanoid robots, swarm robots, etc. Custom computing architectures for artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) used in smart robotics systems. Emerging computing architectures, applications and topics in support to real world smart robotics systems. Submission Guidelines Submitted papers must include new significant research-based technical contributions in the scope of the journal. Purely theoretical, technological or lacking methodological-and-generality papers are not suitable to this thematic section. The submissions must include clear evaluations of the proposed solutions (based on simulation and/or implementations results) and comparisons to state-of-the-art solutions. For additional information please contact the Guest Editors by sending an email exclusively to tetc.smart.robotics@gmail.com Papers under review elsewhere are not acceptable for submission. Extended versions of published conference papers (to be included as part of the submission together with a summary of differences) are welcome but there must have at least 40% of new impacting technical/scientific material in the submitted journal version and there should be less than 50% verbatim similarity level as reported by a tool (such as CrossRef). IEEE Transactions on Emerging Topics in Computing (TETC) seeks original manuscripts for submission under Technical Tracks. In a track, the technical contents of a submitted manuscript must be both of research type and of an emerging nature, and must fall within the scope and competencies of the Computer Society. Purely theoretical, technological, or lacking methodological-and-generality papers are not suitable for technical tracks. The submissions must include clear evaluations of the proposed solutions (based on simulation and/or implementation results) and comparison to state-of-the-art solutions. Manuscripts not abiding by these specifications will be administratively rejected. The topics of interest for the Technical Tracks are as follows: Enterprise Computing Systems Emerging Computing Architectures and Networks Hardware and Embedded System Security High-Performance Computing Next-Generation Computing Systems Computing System Privacy and Security Emerging Hardware for Computing Submitted articles must describe original research that is not published or currently under review by other journals or conferences. Extended versions of published conference papers (to be included as part of the submission together with a summary of differences) are welcome, but there must be at least 40% new impacting technical/scientific material in the submitted journal version and there should be less than 50% verbatim similarity level as reported by a tool (such as CrossRef). All submitted manuscripts will be screened using a similarity checker tool. As an author, you are responsible for understanding and adhering to our submission guidelines. Please thoroughly read these before submitting your manuscript. Please thoroughly read these before submitting your manuscript. Please also check, prior submitting, that your manuscript complies with the requirements available in the TETC Author Information page . Submissions not abiding by TETC’s specifications and style, will be administratively rejected. Please submit your paper to the IEEE Author Portal and select the “Technical Track” option in the drop-down menu for “Manuscript Type.” Please…
