Dr. Yong-Seog Kim, President of Society for Information Display (SID)
Dr. Yong-Seog Kim is president of the Society for Information Display (SID). He serves as dean of the School of Engineering and as a professor in the Department of Materials Science & Engineering at Hongik University in Seoul, South Korea. Dr. Kim received his B.S. degree from Seoul National University and his M.S. degree from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering of Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, Seoul, Korea. He received his Ph.D. from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Dr. Kim is regarded as one of the world’s leading researchers in materials development and processing for information displays. He has published more than 300 papers in leading industry journals and conference proceedings and holds more than 80 patents.
