
LOS ALAMITOS, Calif., 19 December 2025 – The IEEE Computer Society (IEEE CS) Board of Governors has confirmed incoming editors in chief (EICs) for 8 IEEE CS publications. Please join us in congratulating the following distinguished scientists and engineers whose terms will begin on 1 January 2026 and end on 31 December 2027.
Bret Michael, Naval Postgraduate School (USA), has been appointed as the interim EIC of Computer, which publishes peer-reviewed articles written for and by computer researchers and practitioners representing the full spectrum of computing and information technology, from hardware to software and from emerging research to new applications.
Pak Chung Wong, Rocketgraph (USA), is the new EIC of IEEE Computer Graphics and Applications (CG&A), which bridges the theory and practice of computer graphics by publishing work that spans foundational research to practical implementation.
Jeffrey Voas, US National Institute of Standards and Technology (USA), is the new EIC of IEEE Security & Privacy (S&P), which publishes advances in information technology pertaining to security, privacy, and dependability.
Patrick Schaumont, Worcester Polytechnic Institute (USA), is the new EIC of IEEE Transactions on Emerging Topics in Computing (TETC), which publishes papers on emerging aspects of computer science, computing technology, and computing applications not currently covered by other IEEE Computer Society transactions.
Dan (Linda) Lin, Vanderbilt University (USA), is the new EIC of IEEE Transactions on Dependable and Secure Computing (TDSC), which publishes archival research results focusing on foundations, methodologies, and mechanisms that support the achievement of systems and networks that are dependable and secure to the desired degree without compromising performance.
Dimitrios Koutsonikolas, Northeastern University (USA), is the new EIC of IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing (TMC), which focuses on the key technical issues related to architectures, support services, algorithm/protocol design and analysis, mobile environments, mobile communication systems, applications, and emerging technologies.
Marco Aiello, University of Stuttgart (Germany), is the new EIC of IEEE Transactions on Services Computing (TSC), which covers all computing and software aspects of the science and technology of services innovation research and development.
Mauro Pezze, USI Università della Svizzera Italiana (Switzerland), is the new EIC of IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering (TSE), which publishes well-defined theoretical results and empirical studies that have potential impact on the construction, analysis, or management of software.
Wenping Wang, Texas A&M University (USA), whose term began on 1 October 2025, is the new EIC of IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics (TVCG), which presents important research results and state-of-the-art seminal papers in computer graphics, visualization, and virtual reality.
