Manuscript types accepted by TCBB
NEW MOPC POLICY: For new submissions effective 15 May 2018, the fee to publish pages in excess of the regular paper limits cited below will change from $200/page to $220/page.
TCBB manuscript types and submission length guidelines are described below. All page limits include references and author biographies. For regular papers, pages in excess of these limits after final layout of the accepted manuscript is complete are subject to Mandatory Overlength Page Charges (MOPC). Note: All supplemental material must be submitted as separate files and must not be included within the same PDF file as the main paper submission. There is no page limit on supplemental files.
- Regular paper – 12 double column pages (Submissions may be up to 14 pages in length, subject to MOPC. Longer submissions must be approved by the EIC, up to 18 pages maximum. All regular paper page limits include references and author biographies.)
- Short paper – 8 double column pages
- Comments paper – 2 double column pages
- Survey paper – 20 double column pages
Please note that double column will translate more readily into the final publication format. A double column page is defined as a 7.875" x 10.75" page with 10-point type, 11.5-point vertical spacing, and 1/2 inch margins. All margins should be one inch (top, bottom, right and left). These length limits are taking into account reasonably-sized figures and references.
This publication is a hybrid journal, allowing either Traditional manuscript submission or Open Access (author-pays OA) manuscript submission.
The OA option, if selected, enables unrestricted public access to the article via IEEE Xplore. The OA option will be offered to the author at the time the manuscript is submitted. If selected, the OA discounted fee of $1,950 must be paid before the article is published in the journal. If you have unusual circumstances about this, please contact the Editor-in-Chief.
The traditional option, if selected, enables access to all qualified subscribers and purchasers via IEEE Xplore. No OA payment is required.
ORCID Required: All IEEE journals require an Open Researcher and Contributor ID (ORCID) for all authors. ORCID is a persistent unique identifier for researchers and functions similarly to an article's Digital Object Identifier (DOI). ORCIDs enable accurate attribution and improved discoverability of an author's published work. The author will need a registered ORCID in order to submit a manuscript or review a proof in this journal.
