Data Comics: The New Way to Communicate in the Global Tech Community

Everybody loves comic books—kids, anime fans, superhero lovers, and hobbyists alike.

Now, scientists in the May/June 2017 issue of IEEE Computer Graphics and Applications are showing how “data comics” can be an extremely effective way to communicate high-tech ideas to a diverse, global community.

The visualization, flow, narration—and word/picture combos—can leverage data visualization for a variety of discoveries and insights in a bold, fun way.

Insert some humor along with valuable information, and you have a real learning tool for some of today’s toughest high-tech subjects.
