Happy New Year!

Wishing our community a happy new year.

Happy New Year! As we have been looking forward to welcoming 2021, this special year marks the 75th Anniversary of the Computer Society! To commemorate this momentous milestone, a slate of exciting and interactive activities are planned throughout the year. These activities integrate the rich history of the Computer Society, highlighting the accomplishments of its members and the innovations they help to create, with the vision and resources that will inspire the future.

Beginning this month, the Computer Society is kicking off a year-long trivia contest that will spotlight interesting facts and test your knowledge of the Computer Society and the computing field. Also this month, the IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapters have been challenged with a video competition. Look forward to their creative contributions showcased here next month.

Over the course of the year, details about new competitions and resources will be announced. Some of the anniversary programs planned include IEEE CS week coming up in March, an essay contest for members, special articles in CS publications, and featured panels at select CS events and conferences.

Furthermore, the support from this year’s 75th Anniversary Corporate Partners – OPPO, Hitachi, and Alibaba is much appreciated.

Be sure to read the Insider Membership Newsletter to keep abreast of 75th Anniversary activities or check back here regularly.

Thank you for your continued support!
