Steven Bay Headlines IEEE Computer Society Cybersecurity Awareness Campaign with Talk on Edward Snowden

LOS ALAMITOS, Calif., 01 October 2019 – IEEE Computer Society launches a month-long campaign of cybersecurity-related activities, tips, and resources in support of National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM). The resources and efforts help highlight cybersecurity awareness, encourage accountability, and promote proactive behavior to ensure the use of best security practices for individuals and their organizations.  Steven Bay, the Director of Security Operations and Threat Intelligence at Security On-Demand, and former Edward Snowden boss, headlines IEEE Computer Society’s campaign with a presentation that explores the Snowden security breech and provides strategies on stopping insider threats.

IEEE Computer Society’s cybersecurity awareness activities include the following:

Edward Snowden: The Ultimate Insider Threat - Steven Bay, Security On-Demand

Held every October, National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM) is a collaborative effort between government and industry to raise awareness about the importance of cybersecurity and to ensure that all Americans have the resources they need to be safer and more secure online.
