IEEE CS Call for two HPC Award Nominations

Seeking Nominations Honoring Achievements in High-Performance Computing

LOS ALAMITOS, Calif., 25 May 2022 – The IEEE Computer Society seeks nominations for its high-performance computing (HPC) awards, which include the Seymour Cray Computer Engineering Award and the Sidney Fernbach Memorial Award. The extended deadline for submitting nominations is 30 June 2022. Nomination portal: https://ieee.secure-platform.com/a/solicitations/654/home  (IEEE login required) Seymour Cray Computer Engineering Award  – The Seymour Cray Award recognizes innovative contributions to high-performance computing systems that best exemplify the creative spirit demonstrated by Seymour Cray. The award consists of a crystal memento and an honorarium of $10,000. This award requires three endorsements and is sponsored by the IEEE Computer Society. Sidney Fernbach Award  – The Sidney Fernbach Memorial Award, which consists of a certificate and a $2,000 honorarium, is presented annually to an individual for “an outstanding contribution in the application of high-performance computers using innovative approaches.” This award requires three endorsements and is sponsored by the IEEE Computer Society. The IEEE Computer Society’s prestigious awards program recognizes both technical achievement and service to the Society, honoring outstanding innovations as well as leaders in technology. Nominate a worthy colleague for international recognition.
