Nominees Sought for IEEE Division VIII Director-elect

LOS ALAMITOS, Calif., 14 August 2018 – The IEEE Computer Society (IEEE-CS) is seeking nominees for the position of IEEE Division VIII Delegate-Director-elect. The deadline to submit nominations is Thursday, 4 October 2018, by noon.

Each year, IEEE-CS members elect a director-elect. The IEEE Division VIII Delegate-Director serves a year as director-elect (2020) and two years as director (2021–2022).

All potential nominees must complete and submit a nomination form with a biography, a list of IEEE activities, and a position statement. Self-nominations are allowed and encouraged.

The IEEE-CS Nominations Committee recommends candidates to the IEEE-CS Board of Governors (BoG), and the BoG will subsequently select the candidate slate at its 16 November 2018 meeting.

For more information, contact Maggie Johnson at mjohnson@computer.org. Nomination materials should be sent to Maggie Johnson at mjohnson@computer.org on or before 4 October 2018, by noon.
