Annals Best Papers of 2024
This year we have resurrected the Computer Society Best Paper award for IEEE Annals of the History of Computing.
We put together a selection committee of four, chaired by our Associate Editor-in-Chief Liz Petrick, who carefully considered all papers published in 2024 issues of Annals. In recognition of the large number of high quality publications, the committee and I agreed to recognise two honourable mentions alongside the best paper award and the runner-up.
The two honourable mention papers are presented in no particular order. You can find more about the process, as well as the remarks from the committee on each paper, in the recently published editorial.
The best paper and runner up will be available to read free of charge for 30 days—now is a great time to enjoy this fantastic piece of scholarship.
