2026 Presidential Candidate Town Hall

Learn about the 2026 Presidential Candidates’ vision before voting in the IEEE Computer Society Election!

Candidates for the 2026 Computer Society President

Elections are opening soon, so we would like all members who are eligible to vote to have the opportunity to understand the candidates and their vision for the future of the IEEE Computer Society. Attend to to learn more about this year’s presidential candidates, Saurabh Bagchi and Terry Benzel.

The town hall was held virtually on Wednesday, 12 August 2026 at 1:00 pm EDT / 5:00pm UTC, allowing each candidate to share their perspectives and answer questions. All were welcome to join and submit questions either through the form or in the chat, including IEEE and IEEE Computer Society members, so watch the recap to see if a question you had was answered.

Elections are open now and end on Friday, 18 September 2026. Computer Society higher grade members (excluding students) and affiliates whose memberships were active before 11 June 2026 are eligible to vote in this year’s election.
