Call for Nominations: IEEE Computer Society Opens Submissions for the “AI’s 10 to Watch” Award

Recognizing Emerging Leaders in Computing

By IEEE Computer Society Team on
April 10, 2026

The IEEE Computer Society (IEEE CS) and IEEE Intelligent Systems, a Computer Society magazine, announces a call for nominations for its 20th biannual "AI's 10 to Watch" award.

This award celebrates ten trailblazing, early-career AI researchers, spotlighting their breakthroughs and the profound influence they are exerting within the industry. Winners will be showcased in an upcoming edition of IEEE Intelligent Systems, a premier bimonthly journal that has served as a cornerstone of AI scholarship for over four decades.

Bo An, current EIC and previous winner of this award, highlights the importance of this award: “AI is fundamentally reshaping how we approach complex problems, from LLM to AI agents. However, the true potential of this technology lies not just in the algorithms, but in the brilliant minds developing them. Acknowledging and encouraging burgeoning professionals through initiatives like the 'AI's 10 to Watch' award is absolutely critical. These emerging leaders bring the fresh perspectives needed to push the boundaries of what is possible, ensure these systems are built responsibly, and ultimately drive the innovations that will define our future.”

Deadline Notice: The 2026 “AI’s 10 to Watch” Award Call for Nominations closes 1 July 2026.
