Purpose

The purpose for the Computer Society Juniors Program is to engage and inspire K-12 students worldwide to pursue and expand their studies in IEEE-CS’s disciplinary areas. Additionally, it aims to build strong connections between students and senior society members.

Structure and Activities

The program provides funding to proposals that create hands-on STEM experiences for K-12 students. The program started in 2024, led by Dr. Hironori Washizaki, and has already supported events in Montevideo, Uruguay, Tonantzintla, Mexico, Tunisia, and Sayama, Japan.

Further details about the program, including the past and currently planned activities, can be found on the CS Juniors website.
