Technical co-sponsorship is where IEEE Computer Society volunteers and members actively participate in the meeting’s technical program committee, and conferences are able to reference IEEE Computer Society logos on marketing materials. Under this type of sponsorship the Computer Society accepts no financial or legal liability for the conference.

Under a TCS agreement and approval, IEEE Computer Society volunteers and members must actively participate in the meeting’s technical program committee.
IEEE Computer Society technical co-sponsorship lends the strength of the IEEE Computer Society brand for marketing and outreach, letting the community know the conference will feature high quality, cutting-edge research. Technical Co-Sponsorship approval provides the following, additional benefits.
IEEE Computer Society: There is a non-refundable $350 USD IEEE Computer Society Technical Co-Sponsorship Fee due before application review. For conferences returning for their 4th consecutive year of Technical Co-Sponsorship, the fee is $1,000 USD.
IEEE: There is also an IEEE Technical Co-Sponsorship fee of $1450, depending on if the conference has sponsorship with other IEEE Societies.
Post-conference: If accepted for technical co-sponsorship, IEEE also charges a $22/paper fee upon submission of content to IEEE Xplore, depending on if the conference has sponsorship with other IEEE Societies.
Step 1: Obtain Endorsement from IEEE Computer Society Technical Community
Ensure that communications are already in place with an IEEE Computer Society Technical Community to establish confirmation of endorsement for Technical Co-Sponsorship. You may follow the link to find information on the communities and contact information for community chairs.
Once established, to obtain official endorsement from the corresponding Technical Community Chair, please take a moment to complete the Technical Co-Sponsorship Request Form.

All conferences submitting for Technical Co-Sponsorship must obtain endorsement from a Technical Community and must complete the form to be able to proceed with the sponsorship request process.
Step 2: Submit an IEEE Sponsorship Application
Conferences must submit an IEEE Sponsorship Application and must list the Technical Community that was chosen when completing the application. Please make sure to put the Technical Community selected at 0% on the application.
*Note: Application and TCS Questionnaire Form must be completed and submitted at least six months prior to the conference’s start date. First time/new conferences, this must be done one year prior to the conference start date.
Step 3: Payment of TCS Fees
Upon completion of the application and submission of the TCS Request Form, conferences will receive information from IEEE Computer Society TCS Staff on how to process payment.
Step 4: IEEE Computer Society Leadership Review.
*Note: Part of the requirements is that the Conference must have a functioning conference website that includes important dates and a completed call for papers. The website must also have a full list of the Technical Program Committee.
