IEEE Computer Society membership helps students and professionals join a global community of technologists. Along with the usual benefits membership provides, our members have the opportunity to unlock additional benefits and recognition as they progress through their careers by elevating their membership status. These additional member grades are categorized as: Senior Member, Fellow, and Life Member. The highest grade members can apply for is Senior Membership.

Note: IEEE Computer Society Affiliate members are not eligible for member grade elevations. IEEE membership is required to participate.

Achieving a higher member grade is our way of recognizing members for their accomplishments and contributions to the computing science and engineering profession. The process to achieve these elevated grades is not always easy, or quick, however, it helps create a pathway for professionals to showcase their contributions and gain valuable new experiences. On top of the honor and recognition, Senior members receive an engraved plaque they can showcase to their peers and a free membership to an additional IEEE society.

Watch the recording of our webinar from 18 May with Matthew Plotner to ensure you have a successful application.
