Patricia Chavez-Burbano

2025-2027 Distinguished Visitor Speaker

P. Chavez-Burbano was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador on April 19th/1979. She received her BS in Electronics and Telecommunications in 2005 from Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL), Ecuador, and her MS in Electrical Engineering in 2008 from Northeastern University (NEU), USA. In 2021 she obtained a Ph.D. at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC), Spain. She currently works as an associated professor at Telecommunication Engineering Department, ESPOL.

Her research interests include Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), Digital Signal Processing (DSP), Visible Light Communication (VLC), Optical Camera Communication (OCC) and Pattern Recognition.
