
Leonel Merino (Member, IEEE) received the joint M.Sc. degree in computer science from E’cole des Mines de Nantes and Vrije Universiteit Brussel and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from the University of Bern. He is currently an Assistant Professor of engineering design with the School of Design and the School of Engineering, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Santiago, Chile. His current research interests include software engineering, information visualization, virtual and augmented reality, and human–computer interaction. He is a member of the Steering Committee of VISSOFT and the IEEE Computer Society.
