Judy Robertson

Award Recipient

Featured ImageDr. Judy Robertson is a senior lecturer in Computer Science at Heriot-Watt University, Scotland. Her research interests include technology enhanced learning, particularly exploring novel and motivating ways to engage learners of all ages with computing concepts. Her research has recently focused on the use of virtual world building in supporting learning. As part of this, she has taught her own first year university students to program within multi user virtual worlds. She is also currently Principal Investigator of an EPSRC funded grant which supports high teachers in developing game making projects with their learners.

Dr. Robertson received a BSc in Computer Science and AI at the University of Edinburgh in 1997 and a PhD in Artificial Intelligence at the same university in 2001.
