Biswarup Ray

Vice-Chair, Student and Young Professional Activities

Biswarup RayBiswarup Ray is an AI and Advanced Data Science consultant at ZS, combining industry problem-solving with global professional service through the IEEE Computer Society. He currently serves as the IEEE Computer Society Student & Young Professionals (SYP) Chair, having previously taken on the responsibility of SYP Interim Chair and, before that, ECSP Chair, where he focused on building strong pipelines between students, young professionals, academia, and industry.

With a background in applied machine learning, AI engineering, and data-driven solutions, Biswarup’s work reflects a mission-driven approach: enabling emerging technologists to move from learning to real-world impact through mentorship, collaboration, and hands-on innovation. His professional and volunteer journey is guided by a clear purpose to democratize access to technical growth opportunities and to empower the next generation of computing professionals to lead with competence, ethics, and confidence.
