IEEE CS TFDC Hosts First Technical Salon of 2026 in Beijing

The first technical salon of IEEE CS TFDC (IEEE Computer Society Task Force on Servers and AI Data Centers) in 2026 was successfully held in Beijing on May 14. Jointly organized by IEEE CS TFDC and the Beijing Institute of Open Source Chip, the event featured keynote presentations by Xinyu Zhang and Yan Xu from the Xiangshan team titled “Exploring AI in Long-Horizon Task Work and Xiangshan Application Practice.” The presentations focused on practical approaches to integrating Agentic Coding with hardware verification, highlighting software-based toolchains, open-source ecosystem frameworks, and intelligent collaboration mechanisms. The discussion explored potential solutions for improving automation throughout the hardware verification workflow and enhancing engineering efficiency. The salon was conducted in a hybrid format, attracting more than 150 participants from both online and onsite audiences.
