TSC celebrates its 5th anniversary!

We asked editorial board members to reflect on TSC's past 5 years. Below is what they had to say.

Congratulations to TSC on its 5th Anniversary

“My heartiest congratulations to IEEE TSC on its fifth anniversary. I am very happy to see the wonderful progress the journal has made during this short time and I wish it even more success in the years to come.”

—Akhil Kumar, Professor of Information Systems, Penn State University

“Heartiest congratulations to IEEE TSC for its 5th Anniversary! It is a pleasure to see that TSC has succeeded in becoming a relevant and visible reference point for research in services computing, with the ability of putting together high technical quality and timely dissemination of relevant innovations in the field. Five years ago the idea of starting a new journal and addressing a multi-faceted area such as service computing was highly promising but very challenging at the same time; I am honored for having had the opportunity of giving my little contribution to this project as an Editorial Board member, and I am truly convinced that the way is paved towards even more successful, fruitful, and technically excellent results for the next 5 years to come.”

—Paolo Bellavista

“I have witnessed the birth and growth of the IEEE Transactions on Service Computing. I still remember vividly five years ago the hard work Liang-Jie Zhang led in creating the Transactions and its application processes at the IEEE PubCom, twice! Congratulations to TSC, particularly to its EiC, Liang-Jie, for his significant effort and outstanding leadership in creating and leading this important publication, a job well done!”

—Fei-Yue Wang

“Congratulations to TSC on 5 years. For my research, this journal has been critical in establishing a community where high-quality foundational knowledge can be archived in the area of architecture, design, and delivery of software-as-a-service. I look forward to the next 5 years.”

—M. Brian Blake, Associate Dean for Research and Professor of Computer Science, University of Notre Dame

“Over a short period, TSC has set itself as the most reputable journal in the area service computing because of the caliber and dedication of the editorial team. Happy 5th Anniversary!”

—Athman Bouguettaya
