IEEE Computer Society to Introduce Next-Generation Digital Version of Computer

LOS ALAMITOS, Calif., 7 November, 2011 – IEEE Computer Society members are being offered the opportunity to receive the flagship magazine, Computer, in an enhanced digital format instead of print, beginning with the January 2012 issue.

The enhanced digital version of Computer will include supplemental audio, video, and Web extras to broaden your understanding of key concepts. Clickable table of contents links will enable you to quickly navigate to individual articles and columns. Article reference links will be clickable to broaden your knowledge.

“We’re proud to launch a new format that will let us deliver a more engaging reading experience in a mobile design. This new version of Computer will not only be easy to access through the Web and an iPad app, but will also include enhancements such as animations, simulations and video interviews with thought leaders from around the world,” said Lars Jentsch, Senior Manager of Editorial Services.

The new digital version of Computer will allow for anytime, anywhere access; easy search capability to get you quickly where you want to go; and digital archive access to let you quickly peruse past issues.
