Genevieve Bell on Pervasive Computing
IEEE Pervasive Computing spoke with Genevieve Bell, director of Intel's Interaction and Experience Research Lab and an Intel Fellow, at a recent Intel workshop. The discussion ranged widely, touching on Bell's role within Intel, "feral" technology, the mobile web, and how we can't imagine the future of technology without bringing the legacy of the past with us.
About Genevieve Bell
Genevieve Bell is the director of the Interaction & Experience Research Lab at Intel. She currently leads an R&D team of social scientists, interaction designers, human factors engineers, and a range of technology researchers. She is coathor of Divining the Digital Future, due to be released by MIT Press in 2011. Bell has a bachelor's degree in anthropology from Bryn Mawr College and an MA and a PhD in anthropology from Stanford University. She is an Intel Fellow.
