For the past year or so, I've intermittently suffered from a tremendous pain in the derriere. This isn't a figure of speech, and I won't bore you with the details. Initially, the embarrassment of this personal (and seemingly rare) predicament was worse than the physical pain. But once I finally decided to go to the doctor, she explained to me that 30 percent of people suffer similar problems at some point in their life.
