Engineering Education Activities in Electric Energy Systems

There is a relatively recent but growing recognition of the need to rebuild capabilities and revitalize and reform curricula in electric energy systems (EESs), traditionally referred to as power systems in most US electrical engineering (EE) programs. The issues surrounding this theme are receiving increased attention from EES faculty, EE department heads and chairs, engineering deans, and a wider group of stakeholders that includes various segments of industry and federal agencies.
