Attached are the original requirements for implementing "JOIN" and "Get Involved" buttons for this working area.
The STC registration form will have also "tooltips describing each group", a field for "areas of expertise/interest (in Cloud Computing)", a field (or check-boxes) for "info on member’s Country".

Listed here are also some clarifications from follow-up discussions:

_____________________________

"JOIN" concerns the membership in the STC. Once the button is pressed, the person should be added as a member of the STC (if not already), and then given an option to join/drop Groups (by showing the form with the check-boxes).

"Get Involved" concerns the membership in Groups of the STC. Once the button is pressed, the person should be added as a member of the STC (if not already), added as a member of the current Group (if not already), and then given an option to join/drop Groups (by showing the form with the check-boxes).

Note 1: A person cannot be a member of a Group without being a member of the STC. That is why "Get Involved" also adds the person as a member of the STC.
Note 2: E-mail lists must be in sync with membership lists.
______________________________

- No anonymous posts in discussions or votes in polls should be allowed.
- Not signed-in visitors should be able to only view web-pages content; they should not be able to open folders, files, discussions, etc.
______________________________

The purpose of the Working Area is:
- to provide information about the CS CC STC: Goals and Scope, Assets, Projects
- to provide information about each Group in a dedicated to this Group area: Goals and Scope, Assets (periodically updated), Projects
- to allow a visitor to join the CS CC STC through the "JOIN" button
- to allow an STC member to join/drop a particular Group through the "Get Involved" button
- to allow the Team as a whole to share documents/links and to conduct discussions/polls
- to allow each Group to share relevant documents/links and to conduct discussions/polls in a dedicated to this Group area.

Note1: It is important to have e-mails lists by Group -- Group Leads have repeatedly requested this.
Note2: Discussions areas are nice to have, but their extensive utilization should not be a concern -- Groups may prefer to conduct synchronous meetings through conferencing tools or phone calls. However, extensive utilization of the documents/links areas as Groups repositories would be very important.

- non-CS members will be able to join the STC
- the registration will have also "tooltips describing each group", a field for "areas of expertise/interest (in Cloud Computing)", a field (or check-boxes) for "info on member’s Country".
