IEEE Computer Society Relaunches Jobs Board

LOS ALAMITOS, Calif., 7 April, 2010 — The IEEE Computer Society, the world’s leading organization of computing professionals, has relaunched its online jobs board in partnership with the American Institute of Physics.
The redesigned and reinvigorated site, called IEEE Computer Society Jobs, features several exciting new product offerings for employers hiring computing professionals.
• Multiple posting discounts: Save money with new job multi-packs, ideal when forecasting several hires in the near future
• Precise exposure for job listings: Showcase employment opportunities to a large audience of specific, relevant candidates – job seekers who are informed players in their profession
• Featured jobs: Spotlight your most important job openings with prominent homepage and job search visibility
• Advertising options: Highly targeted exposure both in the monthly Computer magazine and online, or online-only
IEEE Computer Society Jobs will provide employers with a targeted source of potential computing and engineering candidates. The CS represents nearly 85,000 members around the world, while the AIP serves a global audience of 120,000 scientists and engineers.
In celebration of the site’s relaunch, employers can receive a free 30-day online-only posting (a $399 value) with a job posting package. Email for more information.
Job seekers will continue to find job postings from a variety of technology employers and are encouraged to post their resume on the site to make a connection with a potential future employer.
"On IEEE Computer Society Jobs, computing professionals and software developers will still find job listings from leading high-tech firms, as well as supporting services for advancing their careers and landing the best jobs available,” said Dick Price, IEEE Computer Society director of Sales and Marketing.
In partnership with the Computer Society, AIP also co-publishes Computing in Science and Engineering (CiSE) magazine, which covers computational science and engineering research for a broad range of technical fields.
The AIP has been operating an online jobs board since 1993. In 2003, the Institute began offering the jobs board to a society of network partners. The Computer Society is the largest membership organization to join the network, which includes the American Physical Society, the American Association of Physics Teachers, and AVS-Science and Technology.
