CVPR 2014 - Call for Workshop and Tutorial Proposals

Proposal Deadline: October 14, 2013 (midnight local time) Notification by December 2, 2013

CVPR 2014, the 27th IEEE Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition, will be held in Columbus, Ohio, from June 24-27, 2014.

We invite proposals for CVPR 2014 Workshops and Tutorials to be held at the CVPR 2014 venue on June 23 and 28.

The purpose of workshops is to provide a comprehensive forum on topics that will not be fully explored during the main conference as well as encourage the discussion of technical and application issues in depth.

The goal of tutorials is to provide students, junior and senior researchers with background on specific topics covered by the conference. We also welcome "Challenge Workshops" that aim to compare new and established methods on common data sets. CVPR 2014 organizers will collect workshop / tutorial registrations, provide facilities, arrange catering, and distribute electronic copies of the workshop proceedings.

Proposals must justify relevance and viability of intended workshops and tutorials to allow competitive selection. More specific guidelines on how to submit a workshop proposal are at:

http://www.pamitc.org/cvpr14/workshops.php

and a tutorial proposal at:

http://www.pamitc.org/cvpr14/tutorials.php

Proposals and any related questions should be sent to the Chairs via the email system provided by these pages.

CVPR 2014 Tutorials and Workshops Co-Chairs Kristen Grauman, Raquel Urtasun, Jim Davis, and Margrit Betke

ICCV 2017 Call:

Call for Proposals for ICCV 2017. Under the traditional ICCV geographical rotation, ICCV 2017 should be held in Europe. Please send proposals to rdz@cs.cornell.edu by November 1, 2013. The proposal should include the following information: date, city, site, hotel, and team details (general chairs, program chairs, finance chair, local arrangements, and some of the other members in charge of the program). The team should contact the hotel/site to make sure the intended dates are indeed available. Proposers are encouraged to submit a preliminary budget, and required to provide an estimate of registration fees. The proposal should specify the sponsorship model (pure IEEE-CS, mixed IEEE-CS/CVF, or other) and the plan for any journal special issue. Voting will be conducted using the same process as we used for CVPR16: there will be an electronic vote open to all registered attendees at ICCV13, which will open after the bids are presented at the TC meeting.

Following the motion passed at CVPR13, the PAMI-TC now has an awards committee and a conflicts of interest policy, as described at http://www.computer.org/portal/web/tcpami/Award-Committee. The committee is in charge of all awards at ICCV13 except for those given to ICCV13 papers, which are the responsibility of the program chairs. Two of these awards are for career achievement, and nominations are solicited as described below.

There will be an award in memory of Mark Everingham, for contributions to the computer vision community, and also awards for papers from previous ICCV's that have stood the test of time.
