Iberian Student Branch Congress(ISBC)

Iberian Student Branch Congress was undoubtedly one of the best Student Congresses ever organized. From the relaxed but energetic environment created by the organized team, the fact there was no panic, and every activity went smoothly; now that's a new thing in a Student Congress in my experience.

Another exciting opportunity was I led a Productivity Workshop based on computer tools like Gmail, Chrome, Google Drive, etc. The point was to demonstrate to students by becoming more proficient in these and other software tools they can excel in productivity, or as I like to put it become "overachievers" by reducing the time they spend on their individual tasks. Out of the 67 participants  from the ISBC, at least 30 attended the workshop. There were also additional workshops occuring at the same time. Please see photos below:

Google DevFest Portugal, was the first DevFest to ever occur in Portugal. This brought together 200 Developers, Computer Scientists, Hackers, Enthusiasts and united them in a 24 hour hackathon with a spirit of knowledge sharing, and learning with a selected group of 15 speakers. Professionals in Web Development and Mobile Development gave 16 sessions over the night so that participants could maximize their learning potential in under 24 hours.

Google DevFest was a not-for-profit event by the community and for the community. As the Computer Society Student Ambassador I had the opporunity to organize with the participation of IEEE-IST Student Branch & Computer Society Chapter, IEEE-ISCTE Student Branch and Google Developer Group Portugal. Special thanks to IEEE Computer Society for their generous contribution and support of our events (lots of CS prizes were included).
