Jin-Fu Chang is president of Yuan-Ze University and a Board Chairman of the Institute for Information Industry (III). His research interest is wireless communications—particularly wireless mobile communications under very high mobility. He has held teaching and research positions at the National Taiwan University, National Central University, and National Chi Nan University in Taiwan and at the Naval Postgraduate School at Monterey, California. He also has held a number of administrative posts in Taiwan. Jin-Fu received his PhD in electrical engineering and computer sciences from the University of California at Berkeley.

Stephen L. Diamond is the global standards officer and general manager of the Industry Standards Office at EMC Corporation, where he is responsible for industry standards engagements and related intellectual property. His professional interests include the Internet of Things, big data, intercloud computing, the “third platform,” and related industry standards developments. Diamond is chair of the IEEE Cloud Computing Standards Committee, vicechair of the IEEE Future Directions Committee, and president emeritus of the IEEE Computer Society. Karen Evans is serving as the National Director for the US Cyber Challenge (USCC), a nationwide talent search and skills development program focused specifically on the cyber workforce, serves as an independent director and outside manager for publicly traded companies, and is a Voice of Authority for Safegov.org, an online forum specifically focused on cloud computing policy issues. She consults on leadership, management, and the strategic use of information technology. She currently serves as a director on the boards of the NIC, the Center for Internet Security, the Department of Veterans Affairs Acquisition Academy, and the Women in Technology Education Foundation and is an advisory board member for several information technology companies.

Sorel Reisman is a senior member of IEEE; the Managing Director of the international consortium, MERLOT (www.merlot.org), at the California State University Office of the Chancellor; and a professor of information systems at CSU Fullerton. He is President Emeritus of the IEEE Computer Society, Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Educational Products Editorial Board, member of the IEEE Publication Services and Products Board, and member of the Open Courseware Consortium (OCWC) board.
Henry Schaffer is Professor Emeritus of Genetics and Biomathematics and Coordinator of Special IT Projects & Faculty Collaboration at NC State University. His interests include analytics, bioinformatics, cloud computing, and the use of ICT to further education and research. He was involved in the early Internet as co-PI of SURAnet, an NSFnet Regional Network, and the early stages of GenBank and the international collaboration establishing databases of nucleic acid sequences. He has received the Robyn Render Endeavor Award from the NC Regional Education Network (NCREN).
George Strawn, advisory board member, is the director of the National Coordination Office for the Federal interagency program Networking and IT R&D (NITRD). His interests include IT research policy and management, big data, networking, and history. He has previously been the NSF CIO; program officer, division director, executive officer, and acting assistant director in the NSF CISE directorate; the director of the Iowa State University Computation Center; and a faculty member and chair of the Iowa State computer science department.
