CFP: pdf

EATA Symposium Co-Chairs

Hiroyuki Sato, University of Tokyo, Japan
Ali Hurson, Missouri University of Science & Technology, USA

EATA uniquely positions itself to be a forum for researchers, practitioners, and educators to present recent findings, innovations, theories, methodologies, and practical experiences to emerging advances in technologies and applications that leverage today's convergence of massive information sources, powerful analysis techniques, and nearly instant access from any point on the globe. In this symposium, discussions of emerging technologies from the point of view of service and application architecture, service innovations and their deployment in communities by leveraging the cutting-edge technologies are highly appreciated. Conceptual discussions are also welcome. We will evaluate papers based on the innovation of the approach, advancement of technologies in addition to level of research achievement. Topics include but are not limited to:

  • social network and crowd sourcing
  • e-health and Web well-being
  • smart cities and public spaces
  • sustainable computing
  • cloud computing, from middleware to applications, services
  • green computing
  • IoT
  • pervasive computing
  • SNS analytics
  • service federations
  • life log
  • sensor network applications and services
  • personalized and blended learning technologies
  • morphic computer design
  • augmented reality
  • blockchain technologies

Authors are invited to submit original, unpublished research work and novel computer applications in full-paper format. Simultaneous submissions to other publication venues is not permitted. The review and selection process for submissions is designed to identify papers that break new ground and provide substantial support for their results and conclusions as significant contributions to the field. Submissions will be selected that represent a major advancement. Authors of submissions with a limited contribution or scope may be asked to revise their submissions into a more succinct camera-ready format (e.g., workshop paper, fast abstract, or poster to the main conference).
