Responsibilities

The Second Vice President position requires a one-year commitment. Candidates must hold Member grade or higher in the IEEE and have been a Computer Society member for the preceding three years.

The Second Vice President executes a portfolio assigned by the President to achieve key objectives and attend to major issues and purposes. The Second Vice President provides counsel and assistance to the President and other volunteers leaders, as well as leadership and direction for officers and Society programs. The Second Vice President is third in succession to the President, second in succession to the President-Elect, and first in succession to the First Vice President.

The Second Vice President serves as a franchised member of the Executive Committee, Board of Governors, and Planning Committee.
