Worldwide IPv6 Testing Slated

World IPv6 Day, a global 24-hour test flight of the next generation Internet protocol, is scheduled for 8 June 2011. The event is designed, in part, to increase awareness about the imminent change in the Internet addressing protocol to version 6. Among those participating are Google, Facebook, Akamai, and Yahoo. IPv4 addresses are expected to run out by November of 2011. An estimated 0.2 percent of Internet users have native IPv6 connectivity: (BBC)(The Official Google Blog)(Test Your IPv6)(World IPv6 Day)
