Microsoft Whiteboard Automatically Completes Drawings

A prototype interactive whiteboard by Microsoft could complete user diagrams automatically. Users of the device, called SketchInsight, could draw an image on a large touchscreen, and automatically create charts or other diagrams based on preloaded data. The whiteboard creates the chart itself once a user has drawn a symbol on it. A graph, for example, is created by drawing an “l” shape. The user would labels the axes of the chart, which tells the system the datasets needed to populate the chart. SketchInsight is one of many large-screen technologies Microsoft is developing to help users understand big datasets. (BBC)(Wired UK)
