IT Pro Special Issue Proposals
IT Pro’s special issues (SIs) provide timely coverage on important topics related to enterprise information systems. We encourage SI proposals from recognized experts, who act as guest editors (GEs) for the SI if the proposal is accepted.
Please read the IEEE Computer Society’s Guest Editor Guidelines for detailed information on GE responsibilities and SI workflows. Additionally, please review the following information specific to IT Pro.
Please use this template for IT Pro SI proposals. Please submit the proposal by email to Editor-in-Chief Babis Patrikakis (bpatr@uniwa.gr) and SI Associate Editor-in-Chief Tim Weil (trweil@ieee.org), with the subject of the email containing “Special Issue Proposal for IT Professional.”
The IT Pro editorial board evaluates SI proposals at the end of each calendar year. If two SI proposals are similar or complementary, the editorial board may offer to merge the two proposals into one SI.
A GE team for an IT Pro SI should include no more than three GEs. If their proposal is accepted, a member of the IT Pro editorial board will join the GE team. GEs should familiarize themselves with IT Pro’s author requirements.
