Recently, two associate editors left the editorial board of the IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering. They are Tom Maibaum and Lorenzo Strigini. Each of these colleagues has served the journal and, hence, the community with enthusiasm and energy, and we have all benefited from the work that they have done. It is a pleasure to thank both of them for their many contributions to the IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering.
The role of the editorial board is very important, and being a member of the board is both challenging and time-consuming. The members of the editorial board are responsible for selecting reviewers for papers submitted to the journal and for making publication decisions. Many of them also assist in the preparation of our various special issues. The editorial board also engages in regular discussion about policy issues facing TSE. These activities are undertaken voluntarily and coexist with existing professional responsibilities. On behalf of the community, I wish our colleagues well with their future endeavors.
