It has been nearly a year since we took over the reins of TMC, and we have greatly enjoyed the process of jointly managing this large enterprise. From our unique vantage point, we get to experience the breadth and vitality of mobile computing, and to interact on a more-or-less daily basis with our associate editors, authors, and subscribers, all stakeholders in the journal’s excellence.
We are writing to notify you about next month’s momentous transition in the way TMC is delivered to our subscribers. Starting January 2012, TMC moves away from paper to the OnlinePlus format. Aside from being eco-friendly, this format, in which issues will be available online, will also be friendly to subscribers’ wallets: an annual subscription for next year is only $33, a full 20 percent lower than the 2011 rate. Subscribers will continue to receive full access to the digital archives, and will now receive each quarter an abstract booklet containing the abstracts of all papers published in that quarter’s issues, together with a searchable, interactive disk containing all published papers and supplemental material. In this way, your favorite TMC issues will literally be a few mouse clicks away at all times!
We encourage you to renew your subscription today and support TMC. We look forward to hearing from you about your experiences with the new format, as well as any other suggestions you might have for improving the content of our journal.
