As technology advances continuously, mobile devices become more powerful and provide new capabilities for different sectors of everyday life. Among these notable are the applications in the medical domain, Patient Records on the other hand shift from traditional paper based to electronic forms. The use of mobile technologies to continuously update Electronic Patient Records is a great challenge. However it is subject to a number of restrictions of security and privacy mainly concern. In this paper we address the benefits and gains from the deployment of wireless architectures for Electronic patient records management and also discuss the threats and countermeasures.
