Pacific Medical Technology Symposium (1998)
Aug. 17, 1998 to Aug. 20, 1998
Dennis Wright , U.S. Pacific Command Surgeon General
I'm going to be your Moderator for this panel discussion. The topic we were given is applications and implications of medical information technology. What we're looking at doing is taking a long view against the back drop of the vastness in terms of space, and the diversity in terms of cultures and disparities between cultures and technological capability in the Asia Pacific region. And trying to stimulate a little thought and discussion in the group of where we are going with our views of medical information management technologies.
