ABSTRACT
The presentation describes the real case of an engagement dealing with the business problem of low profitability, measured by key performance indicator “contribution margin”. Furthermore, it illustrates how the business problem was converted into a statistical problem, how it was analyzed using simple statistical techniques to resolve the same and later conclude the statistical result in business language leading to increased profitability.The presentation is targeted for engagement managers without detailed statistical background who wants to carry out improvements using simple statistical techniques
