A proposal of autonomous decentralized software architecture to realize gradual and short-term extension in safety related system

Recently, social environment rapidly varies and it affects to the trend of social infrastructure. In the railway transportation which is typical social infrastructure is also affected by this trend. To meet this situation, railway system needs a capability for gradual and short-term extension. To realize these requirements, autonomous decentralized software architecture is proposed and as its practical application Intelligent Signalling Equipment Controller (ISEC) which has been developing by East Japan Railway Company (JR-EAST) and its online software maintenance function is introduced. And its feasibility is shown.
