ABSTRACT
In this paper, a generalized kind of prototype delayed system is investigated. By analyzing the associated characteristic equation, its linear stability and the existence of Hopf bifurcation are demonstrated. Moreover, the stability and the direction of the Hopfbifurcation are determined by applying the normal form theory and the center manifold theorem. Finally, numerical simulations are presented to verify the analytical results.
