ABSTRACT
We all expect ICRE 2000 to exert a positive influence on the future direction of requirements gathering and management. We will summarize important findings, processes, directions, and recommendations presented in the conference and explore their application to the design of systems of ever increasing complexity. We will look at the problems solved, the problems to be solved, the problems yet to be discovered, and the catastrophes to be avoided through effective Requirements Engineering.
