ABSTRACT
In this paper, a novel object tracker is presented based on a complementary framework: we combine two object trackers designed using quite different principles, the correlation-filter based tracker, and the particle-filter based tracker, represented by a superpixel tracker. The novel object tracker is capable of taking into account the advantages and avoids some of the shortcomings of either approach. We applied our novel abject tracker to a set of benchmark datasets, and found that the novel object tracker yields better accuracy and robustness than the object tracker designed based on either approaches.
