This work recovered an ancient crowd activity for virtual heritage. virtual reality technique was used to reconstruct and imitate cultural space and crowd cultural activity in warring States time. According to literal recordation, ancient images and ancient relic, we reconstructed characters, finery and architecture by 3d modeling technique. Motion was collected from actors by motion capture technique and arranged newly. At last, a virtual crowd was introduced into the 3D reconstruction of a complex heritage building to increase the realism of the reconstructed scene. A rule behavior system was created to represent a complex interactive scenario. It is better to make users know virtual heritage comfortably by interactive way, increase the extent and depth of intangible culture transmitted.
