This paper will focus on the baseband signal processing of the Galileo E5 AltBOC by using Tampere University of Technology Global Navigation Satellite System (TUTGNSS). The TUTGNSS receiver is designed and implemented in both hardware and software. The hardware side of the receiver performs the signal acquisition and signal tracking, which can be synthesized into Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA). The software is implemented in VHDL and responsible for setting up the initial parameters and performs the data modulation.
