Liquid level control of coupled tanks system is one of the major control problem of industry. Coupled tanks system is a non-linear dynamic system and an efficient control strategy is required for its control. This paper presents the fuzzy model predictive control of SISO coupled tanks system. In fuzzy MPC, a fuzzy model is created by using coupled tanks system open loop data and recursive least squares algorithm. This fuzzy model is used in model predictive control strategy. Model predictive control is an optimal control strategy that gives the optimal results using optimization. Simulation results have shown the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme.
