ABSTRACT
There is an explosion in the amount of information that is accessible by the public, especially with the advent of the World Wide Web. With this information only expected to increase as time goes on, there is an obvious need for mechanisms which would allow individuals to access the right information. In the context of the Web, this can be referred to as personalization of the information source(s). The author touches upon various issues and technologies, as well as their interrelationships. These include interaction between agents, cooperation amongst heterogeneous information sources, and coordinating the activities of these agents using workflow.
