ABSTRACT
Much effort has gone into tools for mapping design information and arguments since the early hypertext prototypes. We do have well-documented, industrial-scale success stories. However, perhaps unsurprisingly, migrating from the lab to the workplace has proven more complex than envisaged, demonstrating the need for greater attention to the sociotechnical embedding of tools.
