<p>The author argues that while object-oriented languages are popular, many developers mistakenly believe that to use them means they must stop using structured analysis and design. He shows that there is no conflict. He describes object-oriented abstractions and real-time structured-analysis/structured-design abstractions and shows how to integrate the two.</p>
